Two held with 650 litres of DIC liquor

Imphal, June 16 2021: Kangpokpi district police on Wednesday arrested two persons identified as Kh Tony Singh (36) son of late Kh Depchandra and Moirangthem Rajesh (29), son of M Budhachandra, both from Sekmai Nongthombam Leikai and seized 650 litres of DIC liquor from them.

According to police reports, a Kangpokpi Police team led by SI Rex Doungel carried out frisking and checking operation at Kang- pokpi police station check post NH 2 and stopped a Maruti van (MN02G-2878) occupied by two persons around 6:30 pm on Wednesday.

On search of the vehicle, the team recovered 650 litres of DIC liquor.

The arrested duo was later released on execution of PR Bond, while the seized DIC liquor was handed over to Excise Department for disposal.
