Imphal, November 14 2013:
Observing that the ensuing Sangai Festival to be held from November 21-30 at Hapta Kangjeibung is on the brink of going commercial instead of promoting tourism in the State, the Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts and Cultural Society (KIMACS) has alleged that the organizers of the festival have not floated proper tender for allocation of ticket counters, parking lots and stalls.
In a statement, the KIMACS said the festival which was supposed to promote the tourism, art and culture of the State has failed with vested persons controlling the event.
