Blood donation camp
The Life Savungers Manipur in collaboration with Imphal Hospital and Research Centre, Lalambung RIMS Road is organizing a voluntary blood donation camp in support of State Blood Transfusion Council, MACS and Blood Bank, RIMS on October 14 from 9 am to 12 noon.
Cane & bomboo training course
Directorate of Commerce and Industries has notified to the intending candidates for the two months training course on the Cane & Bamboo Handicraft and Technology.

Rs 3.45 lakh worth SP capsules seized
A team of Narcotics and Affairs of Border Police Station nabbed one drug peddler and seized huge quantity of contraband drug Spasmo Proxivon worth Rs 3.45 lakh on October 9.According to PRO Police Department RK Tutusana, one Thangjam Irabanta Singh (42), son of Th Tomba Singh of Tera Wangthonbi Leikai was arrested by the team of Narcotics and Affairs of Border Police Station and seized 34,544 numbers of Spasmo Proxivon capsules.
A case has been registered at NAB Police Station under the provisions of NDPS Act and investigation is going on.
Blood donation camp held
A voluntary blood donation camp was held at Waikhom Mani Girls' College, Thoubal in association with NSS Unit of Waikhom Mani College, Thoubal and Shija Blood Bank and Transfusion Service on Monday.
30 units of blood were donated by the NSS volunteers and teachers.
MSF to celebrate foundation day
The 17th foundation of Manipur Students' Federation (MSF) will be held on October 13 at the Konjeng Hajari Leikai community hall in Imphal West.
P Dhana Kumar (retd IPS) will attend the function as chief guest and AMWJU president Wangkhemcha Shamjai and MSF president Kh Serajuddin as guest of honour and president respectively.
UCO Bank properties stolen
Unknown miscreants broke upon the iron shutter of United Commercial Bank (UCO) at Mantripukhri under Heingang Police Station and looted its properties worth around Rs 3 lakh.
The bank manager, Genius said that he came to know about the incident when some labourers engaging in construction of an ATM booth near the bank informed him.
The thieves stole five computers, two printers, one passbook printer, one CCTV monitor and one CCTV machine.
Heingang Police has registered a case in connection with incident.
Career counselling lecture
The 20 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a career counselling lecture programme for villagers of Larong Khunou and Larong Khullen on October 12.Various platforms to join Armed Forces and their benefits available to the present day youth were highlighted during the programme.
Meanwhile, the 24 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles organised a community meeting at Khudengthabi village on October 12.Over 30 people attended the programme.
The villagers interacted with troops of Assam Rifles and discussed the problem faced by them.
