Imphal, April 08 2013: Superintendent of Manipur Central Jails-Sajiwa and Imphal, I K Muivah invited all to donate books for a library to be set for prisoners.

As part of rehabilitation effort under the direction of ADGP (Prisons), M K Das, a library is being set up as a correctional aid for the jail inmates.

Hence, philanthropic individuals are invited to donate reading materials i.e.religious books; GKs; magazines, inspirational books; comics, etc in all languages for the reformation of the prisoners to help them toward leading a normal, reformed life after coming out from jail, Muivah requested in a statement.

Donors may either hand over or send the reading materials to Sajiwa Jail at Khabeisoi or at Manipur Central Jail at Imphal, the statement added.
