Imphal, December 07 2017: Guardian representative candidates, Mayanglambam Kunje and Mayanglambam ongbi Ebechoubi in a press meet today, alleged that they have been falsely rejected from their candidacy for the Governing Body election of Kakching Khunou College by the RO .

A scrutiny which was held earlier rejected their candidacy, on the ground that guardian/parent of class XI, XII and VI semester students are not allowed to contest in the election by Education Code section 10 A(V) .

The two candidates who filed their nomination and got rejected said that there is no such interpretation in the Education Code Section 10 A(V) that says guardian of class XII student can not be a candidate .

A formal complaint has been submitted to Manipur University, and Higher Education Department and RO of Kakching Khunou College, they said.
