Villagers of Old Wangparal village and Zionthang village, Chandel appeal

Chandel, December 31 2018: Villagers of Old Wangparal village and Zionthang village, Chandel has expressed their disapproval on the excavation and exhuming work undertaken by James Khaling & Sons Company in their search for natural resources at Thongkhong lok and Sanaipa Loukuk area which is a part of Purum Khullenpattadars, said a press release issued by Old Warangpal Village Authority, Chandel.

The statement said that the destruction of hill in exploring natural resources in the said area can damage the environment of the region.

In the statement, villagers of Old Wangparal village and Zionthang village, Chandel cautioned that intense agitation will be launched if James Khaling & Sons Company did not stop their exploration work with immediate effect.
