Imphal, October 29 2016: Claiming that the Education Department has been sleeping over the demand that Lilong Higher Secondary Madrassa's lecturer Md Abdul Quadir be transferred from the madrassa, the students' union of the madrassa has announced its decision of boycotting the madrassa indefinitely from November 1 .

In a statement, the student body said that that the decision to boycott the madrassa indefinitely was compelled by the continuous refusal of the Education Department to heed to their demand and transfer the said teacher.

It said that the union has carried out different form of agitation in the past including the boycott of classes, but the Education Department has not been listening to their voice.
