TASO questions vacancy of Tousem SDPO post

Imphal, August 26 2021: Expressing concern over the post of Tousem sub-division SDPO lying vacant for long, Tousem Area Students' Organisation (TASO) has questioned the rationale of the government's reluctance to appoint an SDPO despite repeated petitions submitted to the government and other officials concerned.

In a release, TASO opined that prolonged vacancy of the post shows total indifference and insensitivity of the government towards the people of Tousem sub-division.

While expressing that such callousness on the part of the government is making the people feel alienated, TASO said people of the sub-division deserve a logical explanation from the authority concerned as to why the genuine desire of the public to live under a secure environment is being ignored.
