Imphal, March 26 2018: All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) is all set to observe the 38th Meekap Thokpa Numit on April 17 at Pishum Chingamakha, Imphal West.

Informing this in a press meet held today at its head office, AMSU secretary general Oinam Anil appealed to the people to refrain from organising entertainment programmes on the day.

He said that the occasion will be marked by offering of floral tributes at the memorial site to be followed by a public meeting at Manipur College, Singjamei Chingamakha.

He also said that mass class mobilisation and poster campaign will be held in schools and colleges in connection with the observance.
