Festival stall catches fire

Imphal, November 25 2011: Fire broke out in stall no.11 of the Fast Food Line of the ongoing Manipur Sangai Festival at Hafta Kangjeibung at around 2.30 pm today.

The fire was extinguished before any damage could be caused following timely action of the nearby people and Fire Service personnel.

The stall is being operated by one Brahmacharimayum Niran (23) of Brahmapur Harikhakhok Makhong.

The fire is expected to have broken out following heating of the regulator of the cooking gas cylinder.
