JNIMS Director extends financial aid to AMWJU

Imphal, July 22 2014: In a humanitarian gesture, Director of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Mutum Shyamo handed over a sum of Rs 50, 000 to All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) .

The amount meant for procuring equipments for the gym opened at Manipur Press Club at Majorkhul was handed over by the Director to Wangkhemcha Shymjai, president of AMWJU during a simple ceremony at Manipur Press Club here today.

Speaking on the occasion, Director Shyamo lauded media persons of the State for disseminating information to the public against all odds.

He also stated that the gym will play an important role in maintaining fitness which is necessary for the journalists for performing their duties efficiently.
