Imphal, March 21 2016: The Forest Department, Mantripukhri planted trees inside its office complex today on the occasion of the International Day of Forest 2016. Forest Department officials led by Principal Chief Conser- vator of Manipur PN Prasad and Additional PCCF (Administration and Planning) Khaizalien planted trees around the department complex today.

Principal Chief Conservator of Manipur PN Prasad called for mass plantation of trees to combat climate change.

A discussion on International Day of Forest observation was held later at the department.
