AR conducts Fit India Freedom run

Senapati, November 20 2021:
Maram Battalion Assam Rifles of Jwalamukhi Sector conducted Fit India Freedom Run event in Senapati district'on Saturday in collaboration with Asufii Christian Institute Punanamei, Mao and National Service scheme (NSS).
The run participated by 136, mainly students, was flagged off by ACI vice principal K Athishu from Mao Taxi Stand and cultimated at Mao COB of the battalion after covering areas such as Ohio Ikhro and potato farm.
In his speech by Mao Company Commander praised the students for their enthusiastic participation in the event which he said was organised as a part of the Fit India Initiative of the government.
He also talked on the importance of physical fttness in AR/Army and motivated them to choose armed forces as a career by explaining them different options and ways to join.
The event culminated with a vote of thanks by NSS programme officer Mary Saza.
