Imphal, November 18 2015: Lamenting that it has been 5 years since Kasom Khullen sub-division last received power supply, the Village Authority of Kasom Khullen has appealed to the Chief Minister to look into the matter and take up timely action.

In a statement the VA said that they received 4-5 hours of electricity in January this year but since then electricity has been non-existent.

Monsoons have played havoc and the recently 20-30 erected electric posts have been uprooted.

Till today, no one from the Electricity Department has cared to look into the matter.

There is constant threat to the lives of people due to the falling wires and the uprooted electric posts and in case of death, the Electricity Dept will be responsible, said the statement.

The VA warned that if the Electricity Department does not look into the matter soon, the villagers will dismantle the electric posts.
