Tengnoupal, July 16 2018: The Kuki Chiefs' Association has strongly condemned an order of the Deputy Commissioner of Tengnoupal which has changed the venue ofthe Go To Village Mission programme earlier scheduled on July 17 at Aimol Khullen to Phaichambung village.

"It is very much surprising that the DC of Tengnoupal District succumbed to the diktats of the CNPO despite of being the Deputy Commissioner of the District," said the chiefs' association in its statement Monday.

It may be mentioned that CNPO had earlier strongly opposed the scheduled GTV at Aimol Khullen.

The KCA Tengnoupal advised the CNPO to 'abstain from cheap and baseless' statements which can fuel 'communal hatred amongst the public.

"The CNPO which is a Chandel District based organisation should not interfere with the functioning and administration of the Tengnoupal District," said the Kuki Chiefs' Association.
