Imphal, April 13 2019: Denouncing an order of the RIMS Medical Superintendent for withdrawal of sanitary team from the toilet complex of RIMS, Imphal, representatives of the sanitary team held a press meet yesterday at Press Club, Imphal demanding the authorities to revoke the order.

Speaking to media persons, sanitary worker, member of RIMS Sulap Complex, Th Binodini said that the workers started their service in 1995 with just Rs 300 per month.

The order on April 5 to evacuate/withdraw the sanitary workers from the RIMS toilet complex is condemnable considering the years of service the sanitary staffs have provided, she said.

They have dedicated 24/25 years in the service, she said urging the authority concerned to revoke the order of the Medical Superintendent.

The Medical Superintendent had ordered the withdrawal of the sanitary staffs by April 20 .
