AITC forms Thongkhong Luxmi Nagar Panchayat

Imphal, February 12 2016 : The Thongkhong Luxmi Nagar Panchayat has been formed by All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) after six elected Independent Councillors joined the party.

A felicitation function of the new Councillors who joined the AITC including Chairperson of the NP Ch Renubala and Vice-Chairperson Islamuddin was held by the Wangoi Kendra Trinamool Congress today at Thongkhong Luxmi bazar.

Speaking at the occasion, MLA O Lukhoi said that the AITC will fight the coming Assembly election collectively with the Nagar Panchayat members, Councillors and Ward Members.

Various developmental projects coming from the Govt and MLA LADF will be implemented through the local bodies, O Lukhoi said.

At the same time, Nongmaithem Sanahanbi Devi and Oinam Moirangningthou have been elected unopposed as the Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson respectively of Oinam Nagar Panchayat.
