Imphal, August 11, 2014: Under the State's Social welfare Department, O Lukhoi, MLA, Wangoi Assembly Constituency, distributed bank account passbooks to Family Benefit Scheme's beneficiaries at Yumnam Huidrom Community hall.

Speaking during the function, O Lukhoi said that a list of 35 beneficiaries were submitted and further assured he will take steps and avail the benefits for those were not included in today's list.

Lukhoi added that under the Family Benefit Scheme, a widow under 40 years of age is entitled to benefit rupees 1 lakh.

Widows between 40-60 years of age are entitled to receive Rs 200 per month while widows above 60 years of age falls under the Old Age Pension Scheme.
