Imphal, October 10 2016: Based on a specific information, a team of Imphal East district police commandos conducted a search operation in Khongman Zone-V and arrested one active member of UNLF, said a statement issued by the PRO, Police Department, Manipur.

The apprehendee has been identified as one S/S sergeant major Keisham Sanathoi Meitei alias Kangleipak alias Ngobi alias Mobi alias Bishewor (34), s/o K Joy Meitei of Khongman Zone-V.He was arrested from his residence.

Investigation revealed that he is involved in extortion of money from the general public.

A case has been registered at Irilbung police station for further investigation.
