Meinya condoles Ojah Heramot

Imphal, December 08 2012: Inner Manipur MP Dr Thokchom Meinya has expressed grief and sorrow at the sudden demise of renowned Thang-ta Ojha Leitanthem Heramot, an Awardee of Sangeet Natak Akademi Puruskar 2008 .

The MP stated that late Ojha Leitanthem Heramot was one of the 'Second-generation-student' of the patriot, Paona Brajabasi, the hero of the Anglo Manipuri War of 1891. He championed the cause for unity of the valley and hills in the State by his forceful and untiring propagation of this ancient art form, Thang-Ta.

The people of Manipur will remember him forever.

Dr.Meinya also shared the grief of the bereaved family members of Ojah Heramot and prayed the departed soul to rest in eternal peace in heaven.
