Imphal, August 07 2015 : Just a day short of one month, since school student Sapam Robinhood was killed in police action on July 8, the State Government today placed under suspension six policemen of Imphal East in connection with the death of the student.

The decision to suspend the six policemen was taken after a long discussion held at the office chamber of Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam today evening.

The meeting stretched late into the evening today and apart from the Deputy Chief Minister it was attended by the Principal Secretary Home and the IGPs of Zone I and Zone II .

The SP of Imphal East police was also reportedly present at the meeting, said a source while speaking to The Sangai Express.
