Imphal, September 05 2014 : A one day awareness programme on Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan (NBA) and National Rural Drinking Water programme (NRDWP) of Panchayat level functionaries was held at Maklang Makha Leikai Community Hall, Imphal West District today.

In the awareness programme organised by Imphal West PHE Divisions, EE Imphal West PHE Division L Brojendra Singh gave the keynote address of the programme.

During the course of programme, Assistant Engineer, Imphal West PHE Division, K Ibochou Singh presented guidelines of Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan (NBA) and Nirmal Gram Puraskar (NGP), whereas Superintending Engineer, Planning and Monitoring Circle PHED Manipur spoke about operation and maintenance of water supply scheme, implemented by Village Water and Sanitation Committee (VWSC) .

In one of the most important segments of the awareness programme, Ex-CMO, Manipur Dr H Jadumani Singh enlightened all the participants and audience with the knowledge of water borne diseases and its preventive measures.
