Shifting of 12/4 Kanankhu P/s sought

Chandel, June 03 2015 : Four candidates of 12-District Headquarters of District Council constituency in Chandel district today called on the Returning Officer of Chandel and demanded relocation of venue for repoll slated for June 6 .

The candidates namely Ps Ngamnung (NPF), Hulang David (IND), HT.

Kilaching (IND) and Sr.

Ngamhlung (BJP) submitted a letter requesting for shifting of 12/4 Kanankhu P/S to Japhou's Maha Union Govt Higher Secondary school saying that the venue of polling at Kanankhu is quite closed which is about 30 metres to the residential house of an Independent candidate Tongsin Willingson.

Further saying that the same incident that occurred during the polling on June 1 might occur, the candidates in the letter sought the permission of the Returning Officer to kindly shift the venue so as to avoid any untoward incident during the repoll.
