Imphal, March 02 2016: In pursuance to the demand of upgrading Jiri College to a full- fledged Government college, the Jiri College Students' Union has announce to indefinitely boycott their classes starting today.

JCSU, AMSU, District Committee, Jiribam, KSO, Jiri & Tamenglong, AMBSU, Jiribam, MSO, Manipur State Com- mittee, Meira Paibis and other local organisations have been demanding the State Government to make Jiri College as a full-fledged Government college and improve the educa- tional system of the college.

Neglecting the demand put forth by the student organi- sation is unfortunate, JCSU said in a statement.

Apart from boycotting classes, rigorous forms of agita- tion would be launched in case the demand is not met, the statement said.
