Grenade found at retired bureaucrat's gate

Imphal, October 29 2024:
A hand grenade was found at the gate of former home secretary Mutum Yaiskul's residence at Kongpal Chanam Leikai under Porompat police station on Tuesday around 6:30 pm.
The bomb had a note of KCP (MFL) Maikei Ngakpa group, marked with the words 'Last Warning' .
Police were alerted immediately, and a bomb squad arrived at the scene, successfully retrieving the grenade around 7:30 pm.
The grenade was then safely detonated at Awa Ching foothill.
A case has been registered at Porompat police station, and investigation is underway.
