Imphal, October 29 2015: Four cartons of dendrite, an adhesive glue used as an addictive substance by abusers, seized by VDF personnel from porters of Khwairamband temporary market were burnt down by women vendors along Masjid Road today.

Khwairakpam Mangi, a vendor said that four cartons full of dendrite were seized from porters by VDF personnel today around 2.30 pm.

The VDF personnel tried to hand over the seized dendrite to the police.

The vendors however objected the attempt of the VDF personnel to hand over the dendrite to the police.

The vendors later burnt down the items along Masjid Road, Mangi said.

The vendors also decided that vendors or shop owners of Khwairamband bazar found selling abusive substances would be permanently turned out from the Khwairamband bazar area, Mangi said.
