'Join India Army Campaign for Women' organised

Senapati, June 24 2021: Tamei Battalion of Indian Army on Thursday organised a mobile 'Join the Indian Army Campaign for Women' in remote villages of Makui, Phoikon, Chalwa, Geljang, Gelbung, Gelnel, Songpaibung and Lasan under hill districts of Tamenglong and Kangpokpi.

A special vehicle mounted with loud speaker was flagged off from Makui by the company commander of Makui under Tamei Battalion which travelled to the remote areas explaining the opportunities available and information on recruitment procedure for women wanting to join Indian Army.

Officers of Tamei Battalion in collaboration with local youth club members explained about qualification and other requirements for the women candidates to join Indian Army as soldiers.

Medical officer accompanying the vehicle also raised awareness on Covid-19 prevention measures to the residents in these far flung villages.
