Kakching, December 23 2017: Block Congress Committee (BCC) Kakching, today, appealed the State Government to roll back its order issued on September 17, regarding the increase land revenue tax in the State .

According to a statement issued by the secretary, BCC, Kakching, the order to increase land revenue tax has overlooked the fact that majority of the farmers/cultivators in the State are already in trouble due to the frequent flash floods .

Cultivators are most likely to become the victims of the tax hike as it will add more burden and debts, said the statement .

The BCC, Kakching hinted possible agitation and protests by cultivators and farmers if the State Government fails to roll back its tax hike.
