3rd Foundation Day of CONE held

Imphal, June 23 2014: Community Network for Empowerment (CONE) celebrated its 3rd Foundation Day at the auditorium of Nupi Lal Complex here today.

The function was graced by Shailesh Kumar Chaurasia, Project Director of Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MACS); Wangkhemcha Shamjai, president of All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) and RK Nolinikanta, president of CONE as Chief Guest, President and Guest of Honor respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, Wangkhemcha Shamjai said that there is a need for joint effort among all NGOs in conducting mass awareness programme including in far flung places in order to eradicate HIV/AIDS from the State.

He also called upon MACS to take up timely measures and put in more efforts for fighting against the spread of HIV/AIDS.
