Imphal, December 21 2011: Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur has declared re-constitution committee members of State Level Media Certification Committee (MCMC) as per office order made on December 9. A release issued by the CEO informed that the re-constituted committee members are A Tombikanta, officer-in-charge (SVEEP) as chairperson, A Ashokumar, DC Imphal west (RO of 1-IMPC), A Ibomcha Sharma, correspondent AIR Imphal, N Nando, News editor, DDK Imphal, Premlata Loitam, media and communication officer, PIB and Gin Gangte, field exhibition officer, DA VP Manipur as members respectively.

The functions of the State level MCMC are to dispose of the cases related to appeals against orders of District level MCMC and to deal with applications by political parries and organisations for certification for advertisement on television channel and cable network.

The committee would be functional till the completion of the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly election 2012.2nd meeting of the committee would be held on December 23 at 11:00 am at CEO's office chamber Secretariate South Block, added the release.
