Imphal, September 19 2015 : In its effort to alleviate the problems of locals, Hqs 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs IGAR(S) has claimed to have extended maximum available basic amenities to the local people inside its garrison.

According to a statement issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S), SBI branch along with ATM facility, basic medical service free of cost, provision of extended Assam Rifles Wives Welfare Association shop, photo-printing facility based on no profit-no loss system, high school education with minimum fees, establishment of fast food restaurant run by locals, post office facilities, emergency dental treatment, employment for locals as casual labourers, employment of teaching and non-teaching staff in Assam Rifles High School, Pallel, employment to locals in Govt approved constructions, bakery, grocery shop, teaching, tailoring in Usha Tailoring Institutes, candle making in Family Welfare Centre, extension of beauty parlour facilities etc are the important conveniences being provided to the locals.

Apart from these facilities, an extension counter has been provided to the ex-servicemen to run the restaurant filled with locally made eatables, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .
