Jiribam, January 17 2017:
A team of Jiribam Municipality Council (JMC) and AMSU confiscated a large quantity of expired food items from shops in Jiribam bazar today, our correspondent reports.
Kodom Tilla Jirighat Cachar Assam (Shop no 30) owned by one Sudesh Roy was found selling expired food items like Rasgula, ghee, tea leaves, mustard oil, glucose, paneer, gulab jamun and milkmaid.
General secretary of AMSU District Committee P Joykumar Singh said that Suresh Roy's shop will be shut down for two months as penalty.
