JAC members storm attacker

Imphal, May 15, 2013: Members of the JAC formed in connection with the gun attack on Thoubal CWC Chairperson Mala stormed the Court complex of CJM Thoubal today when the alleged attacker Md Basir was produced in the Court today.

The JAC members shouted slogans demanding capital punishment for the alleged attacker.

Md Basir was later remanded to police custody for three days.

The IO of the case SI Ibomcha made a plea to the CJM for further extension of Basir's remand as forensic test and further interrogation are yet to be done.
