Imphal, January 13 2021: A Motbung Police Outpost team .led by SI Lenminthang Misao under the supervision of Thangkhochon Haokip, Additional SP (L/O) Kpi apprehended an individual on January 11 with an endangered species (Greater Adjutant), a Schedule IV animal under Wildlife Protection Act 1972 punishable with imprisonment upto 3 years or fine upto Rs 25,000 or both at Motbung.

The arrested individual is identified as Taher Hussein Lashkar (27) S/o Riyazuddin Lashkar from Cachar district of Assam, Later, the arrested individual along with the Greater Adjutant was handed to the Forest Range Office, Motbung for further legal action.
