Thoubal, November 12 2015: Locals today staged a protest demonstration condemning the arrest of three individuals who were arrested for their alleged connection with the theft of cash from Khumanthem Noren's shop in Wangjing Bazar, reports our correspondent.

One of the protesters said that unknown individual(s) broke open Noren's shop at Wangjing Bazar and stole cash.

A team of Thoubal police and officials of the Forensic Science Laboratory visited the spot and took the fingerprints from the shop.

Instead of revealing the fingerprints report, Noren's neighbour Khundrakpam Suchil, Nganngom Gambhir and his son James were called up by police for questioning on November 5 .

Demanding the authority concerned to release the three innocent persons within November 15, protesters warned of imposing bandh in Thoubal district.
