Imphal, April 12 2013 : Md Khalilur Rahman, Principal In-charge of Lilong Haoreibi College has been suspended in order to facilitate investigations on the alleged misappropriation of funds to the tune of Rs 70 lakh.

As per report submitted by the Directorate of University and Higher Education, Md Khalilur Rahman, I/c Principal of Lilong Haoreibi College has committed various activities which may amount to misconduct in the performance of official duties and alleged misappropriation of State Govt/UGC funds etc to the tune of Rs 70 lakh, said a Govt Order.

The headquarters of the suspended Principal In-charge, during the period of his suspension, should be at Thoubal, added the Govt order.
