AMSU calls for mass protest today

Imphal, November 10 2014: Taking strong exception against the continued rape and murder crimes against girl students in the state during the last few days, the AMSU has appealed to students of all educational institutions to stage various protest agitations against such heinous crimes on Nov 11.In a press statement issued by S Subhachandra, VP of AMSU Hqs, the students body cited the rape and murder of two girl students in separate incidents on Nov 5 and 9 last.

It also alleged that delay in giving stringent punishment to the rapists has abated the crimes again and again.

It urged the government not to remain a silent spectator on such issues, while demanding befitting punishment for the culprits.
