ATSUM demands fresh recruitment

Kangpokpi, August 10, 2014: All Tribal Students' Union Manipur (ATSUM) today demanded fresh recruitment of Grade IV in Manipur Police Housing Corporation stating that the recent recruitment of Grade IV in the said department had been done without any reservation for Scheduled Tribe (ST).

Marahang Ngiimai, General Secretary ATSUM said it was shocking to learn that Manipur Police Housing Corporation, Government of Manipur conducted the recruitment of IV grade without any reservation for Scheduled Tribe (ST) and asserted that it was an insult to the tribal community.

ATSUM, therefore, demanded that the DPC results for recruitment of Grade IV which was issued on July 10 by the Finance Manager/ Administrative Officer be cancelled and a fresh recruitment be conducted with proper state reservation policy.

It also demanded immediate address of the backlog quotas for ST in all Govt departments by creating posts wherever required.
