Imphal, August 08 2015 : Naharol Sahitya Premi Samiti observed the 108th birth anniversary of Arambam Samarendra as part of the Writers' Day celebration at Dev Literature Centre today.

Lifetime achievement award was conferred on Laishram Birendra Kumar at the function.

Renown filmmaker Aribam Syam Sharma and Naharol Sahitya Premi Samiti president Prof Polem Nabachandra graced the function as chief guest and president respectively.

Wangkhem Lokendrajit of JNM Dance Academy spoke on the topic, 'Origin of dance and music in Manipur and its present state' at the function.
