Imphal, March 04 2016 : Noney Battalion under the aegis of Red Shield Division organised an awareness campaign on protection of wom- en's dignity and honour for the locals of village Veitum Khullen, Kotlen, L Henjol and neighbouring villages on Feb 28. A lecture on the same was conducted for the locals of the villages to make them aware of the social problems of violence against women. Pamphlets portraying the salient features of woman empower- ment, protection of women's dignity and honour were also distributed amongst the villagers and passers-by on NH 37, a state- ment issued by the PRO, Defence, Imphal said.
