Sensitisation prog for Panchayat functionaries begins

Jiribam, August 31 2014: A 3-day long Awareness & Sensitization programme for Panchayat Functionaries jointly organized by Manipur State Panchayat Parishad (MSPP), Porompat and the Block Panchayat Parishad, Jiribam C.D.Block began from Saturday at the meeting hall of P.W.D.Guest House, Jiribam here.

On the first day, the programme presided over by Itobi Singh, President of Manipur State Panchayat Parishad was attended by P.Mani Singh, Pradhan, Dibong Gram Panchayat; Routhang Hmar, Pradhan, Lathingkhal Gram Panchayat and Smti.

Bina Devi, Pradhan Hilghat Gram Panchayat as Guests of Honour.

During the programme, the resources persons spoke on the functions of each organs of Panchayati Raj as well as on the works allotted under NREGS.
