Imphal, July 31 2016: As announced earlier to provide a monthly aid of Rs 1000 to all the youth of Sekmai AC working as cobbler, bar- ber and washerman, social worker Robin Khwairakpam today handed over monthly monetary assistance to Laishangbam Romen of Awang Sekmai Awang Leikai.

Robin Khwairakpam said that huge number of migrant workers are coming to the State as these unskilled labour works are not taken as preferable jobs in Manipur.

He said that it is however encouraging that many youths have now come forward with a courage to embrace such occupation now.

Such changes in youth's mind would not only create self employment avenues but also enhance the economy of the State, he said.

Robin further said that he is ready to provide Rs 1000 each to 100 youths of Sekmai AC who are unskilled labours every month.
