MPP shopping complex to resume trade

Imphal, January 31 2022: Owners of the shops in MPP Shopping Complex have said that they will open their shops from Tuesday onwards.

Addressing a press meet at Manipur Press Club here on Monday, one of the shop owners identified as Md Raft Khan informed that the shops remained closed for several days after they received huge monetary demand from some individuals.

However, district magistrate, Imphal West and Manipur Human Rights Commission issued separate orders on Sunday and Monday respectively allowing the shops to resume trade and they will open their shops from Tuesday onwards, he said.

He further said that the shop owners have resolved not to pay any rent until MPP elects new and undisputed office bearers.
