Imphal, December 22 2021: Troops of Indian Army rescued two persons and recovered a Mahindra Bolero Pickup vehicle which had slipped off the NH near Mai-ba village in Senapat' district on Tuesday.

According to PRO (Defence), the vehicle veered off the narrow road and fell into gorge due of poor visibility.

The troops from nearest Army camp based in Senapati quickly responded and rescued both individuals and recovered the vehicle while the medical team evacuated the injured persons to the nearest hospital.

The immediate effort by the soldiers of Indian Army in the current inclement weather raised tremendous appreciation from locals and state agencies, the PRO said.
