Imphal, July 22 2014: Observing the month-long Ramdan fasting of the Muslims, Muslim Council Manipur and Minuthong Hatta Golapati Athletic Union (MHGAU) hosted an Iftar Party at the residence of Md.Suraj Khan, secretary of MHGAU at Hatta Golapati here today.

Reiterating the necessity of observing the month-long fasting in true Islamic tradition, Haji Arafat Ali, secretary general of Muslim council Manipur said that every Muslim must undergo fasting for 31 days.

After fasting for 20 days, the remaining 10 days are very significant, he informed.

It is believed that those who observe the tradition sincerely would be blessed by Allah, and be awarded 'Leilat-un Kadder' during the last few days of the Ramdan month, he said, while appealing to Muslim the brethren to observe the tradition.
