Imphal, December 21 2011:
The Zeliangrong Baudi, Manipur has submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister against the State Government's proposal to set up designated camp of United Tribal Liberation Army (UTLA) at Vangaichung-pao village in Tamenglong district.
Suggesting that the said camp be established at a suitable location such as Churachandpur district, the Baudi representation observed that presence of UTLA cadres at Naga-inhabited areas might lead to undesired consequences.
The proposed camp site is surrounded by Naga villages like Kaiphimdai, Abian, Mandew, Longchai, Rani Colony, Namdailong, Boroi Khan, Chantala, Siguilong, etc under Tousem sub-division, the Baudi memorandum mentioned.
