Indian Army aids in road repairing at Phougakchao Ikhai

Imphal, July 21 2024: Indian Army extended assistance in repairing the road in Phougakchao Ikhai Awang Leikai, Bishnupur district.

In a release, PRO Defence informed that the road linking Phougakchao Awang Lekhai to NH-2 was damaged due to heavy rains during past one month.

After the villagers sought assistance, the Army collaborated with the locals', providing assistance and resources for the repairs.

The joint effort ensured the restoration of safe and accessible routes for the community.

The repair work was completed on July 19 a day from commencement of the repairing, added the PRO.
