Imphal, May 21 2012: A "One-Day Legal Awareness Programme" was held at Saiton Bazar under the aegis of the Plain & Hills Development Organisation (PHDO) with sponsorship from Bishnupur District Legal Services Authority.

Dr Ch Shantibala, CJM Bishnupur District, was present as the Chief Guest of the programme.

Speaking at the occasion, resourcepersons stressed on the importance of understanding law in a globalized environment, said a statement.

Further, they spoke on the issue of crime against women by women and also suggested that taking away the rights of the people is one of the biggest crime.
