Durga Khatiwoda selected for Award

Nepali Sahitya Parishad (NSP), Manipur has selected Indian-Nepali writer Durga Khatiwoda of Pashchim Boragaon, Assam for the 4th Asharani Rai Memorial Award 2022 for his book 'Kalapanima Sattaish Din' (A travelogue in Nepali) .
In a release, NSP secretary Deepak Pantha stated that the Asharani Rai Memorial Award is a national level award presented in memory of renowned language activist and writer of Manipur Asharani Rai (July 13, 1935-January 20, 2005) every three years for the best literary work in Nepali language.
Durga Khatiwoda will be honoured with the Award 2022, which consists of a shawl, memento and cash prize of Rs 10,000 on the Language Day programme to be held on August 20, it added.
