Imphal, December 18 2015 : Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Imphal West organised the district level declamation contest at Kuranganayani hall (Imphal West DC office complex Lamphelpat) yesterday at 1 pm with Dr Nevedita Lairenlakpam, ADC/ADM Imphal West and G Anita Devi (Padmashree) as chief guest and president respectively.

Altogether 6 youths from Imphal West I and II who were selected from block level declamation contest participated in the contest with first, second and third position going to Kerstin Khundrakpam, Md Abdul Hassan and Thouba Khuman respectively.

The position holders were awarded Rs 5000, Rs 2000, and Rs 1000 and the first position holder will represent Imphal West district in the State level declamation contest which will be held sometime in December 2015, according to a press release issued by district youth co-ordinator of NYK, Imphal West.
